We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join our team and take full ownership of research tasks for one of Hungary's leading financial institutions’ beyond banking product. This is a hybrid/remote position, offering flexibility while being part of a forward-thinking team.
As our lone (but not lonely) warrior UX Researcher on this project, you'll independently drive research initiatives, execute operational tasks, and lay the groundwork for potentially building a future research team.
Your role will be instrumental in strengthening our research practices, ensuring user insights directly influence product development and strategic decisions.

Location: Budapest, Hungary
Note:Native Hungarian language proficiency is a must for this role to effectively collaborate with local stakeholders and conduct research with Hungarian users.
WHAT WE NEED
- Strong English skills 🇬🇧: You’re confident in both written and spoken English and can easily communicate with international clients. (Don’t worry, we’re happy to support you in improving further if needed.)
- 4+ years of experience in UX research, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of conducting qualitative research studies (e.g. interviews, usability testing, surveys) and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong ability to work independently while actively collaborating with design, development, and business teams.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills to effectively present research findings and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to balance business goals and user-centered design principles.
Bonus Points if You Have:
- Experience working under time constraints or in agile environments.
- Competence in writing blog posts about your findings.
- Proficiency with dovetail platform.
- Familiarity with quantitative or mixed research methodologies.
- Critical thinking to prioritize research initiatives amidst changing business requirements.
